Privacy Policy

The short version

Protection runs entirely on your phone; MyTime never sees your browsing or which sites got blocked. If you choose to use groups or a remote ally, we store the minimum needed to make those work: your first name, phone number, daily social-media minutes, and your ally's locked code. No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no selling data, ever.

Blocking stays on your device

MyTime is built on Apple's Screen Time technology (Family Controls, Managed Settings, Device Activity). iOS itself enforces the walls you choose. Apple designed these frameworks so apps like MyTime cannot read your browsing history or see the content you visit, and nothing about your browsing ever reaches us.

If you create a profile (optional)

Profiles exist so groups and remote allies can work. When you create one, we store on our servers (hosted by Supabase in the United States):

• Your first name and phone number, as you entered them.
• Your protection status (armed or not) and current streak.
• Daily totals of minutes spent in the social apps you chose to track, and break counts. Totals only; never which app, when, or what you did in it.
• Group membership, and the group names you create.

Members of a group you join can see your first name, protection status, streak, daily social-minute totals, and breaks. That visibility is the point of groups; do not join one you do not trust.

Your ally

If you link an ally remotely, we store their first name and a salted cryptographic hash of their six-digit code (the code itself never reaches us and cannot be recovered from the hash). Approval requests you send them (for example "pause protection") are stored until resolved and expire in 15 minutes.

What we never do

• No advertising, no third-party analytics, no tracking across apps or sites.
• No selling or sharing your data with data brokers.
• No reading your browsing, messages, contacts, photos, or location.

Deleting your data

Settings > "Delete profile" removes your profile, group memberships, usage totals, ally record, and approval history from our servers immediately. Skipping profiles entirely means we hold nothing about you at all. You can also email us to request deletion.

Children

MyTime is for adults setting up protection on their own device. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If a future version changes any of this, we will update this page and the App Store listing before that version ships.
